Short Bio
A senior at Tustin High School, I have been infatuated with art my entire life. I plan on attending California State University Long Beach with a major in Ceramics this upcoming Fall 2023 Semester.
Statement
I combine mediums, such as felt, cloth, tape, and glue, but maintain a constant focus on ceramic clay. I hone in on sculptural pieces, combining visually interesting imagery with deep meaning or commentary on issues prevalent in the modern world.
Biography
Sabrina Justine Stieler is the artist behind SJS Ceramics. She is a senior at Tustin High School and has been involved in her school's ceramics program on and off during her high school career, but was yet to be enrolled in the class until this August. Sabrina has grown and developed a style of sculpture, sometimes creating things simply for the sake of art, but also designing pieces that cause the viewer to question things they had never thought of having significance and see them in a different way. For Sabrina's AP 3D Art portfolio, she had the following question for her Sustained Investigation: How can art make you feel for or relate to something chewed, be it by humans, animals, time or the world?
